Ok so it’s actually a playlist this week. We’re celebrating something VERY exciting…
WILLIAMS FAMILY COAST TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Tomorrow morning we will all pile into 4 or 5 cars & head down to our regular condo right on the beach in Port Aransas! It’s something we’ve done for over 20 years now! It’s tradition! But with this tradition comes several little traditions. The day before we leave for Port A is always known as Dunes ______ (insert day of week). So today is Dunes Saturday! On this day, we pack, listen to Jimmy Buffett, Larry Joe Taylor & Enya, and mom makes her AMAZING chocolate chip cookies (which have been dubbed “Dunes cookies”) for the road. On the day we leave, we make sure we have a container of cookies for each car as well as a Dunes mix CD. We make all the same stops on the way, and see all the same sights. Then after a long drive, we FINALLY hit the ferry line! We pull onto the ferry, crank up Enya’s Carribean Blue, and roll down the windows to let the coastal breeze in. We’ve arrived!!! We are now on Island Time! :)
I have to say, I love how excited we all get about these trips, even after having been 50+ times! This morning I logged into facebook to change my picture to a beach-themed picture, only to find that everyone else in my family had done the same thing! :) I love it!
