I get them all the time. Shameless friend requests from bands trying to get me to listen to their music. Half the time, they’re not even the type of music i like! And I like most types of music! :p And most of the time, I hate to say, they’re not that good.
However….every once in a while I feel a little nudge from God telling me to give someone a chance. Last time I felt that nudge, I found Seventh Time Down. They are a Christian Rock band from Kentucky and they ROCK! :) So much, in fact, that I’ve been working my butt off trying to get them booked at my church or ANY local church. It MUST happen! They’re currently working on a new album. I will be sure and let everyone know when it’s out!
This week I give you the first song I heard from them….and the one that won me over immediately :)
World Changer
by Seventh Time Down
I’d chase the sun for You
Even rope the moon for You
Because You love me….
I’d chase the sun for You, I’d even rope the moon for You, because You love me.
Every day is a melody, a new song You have given me to sing, because You love me.
This could be the song I’ve been waiting for.
I wanna be a world changer…a world changer for You.
I wanna be a world changer…a world changer for You.
My life is so much more, I could win a thousand wars with You, because You love me.
So now I fall back into You with new scars and a lot of bruises, but it was worth it.
You simply are the one that I’ve been waiting for.
I wanna be a world changer…a world changer for You.
I wanna be a world changer…a world changer for You.
One life can change the world…
One life, one life can change the world.
One life can change the world…
One life, one life can change the world.
You’re in my heart, You’re in my soul. I wanna be a world changer.
(Disclaimer: Austin, please forgive me if any of these lyrics are wrong! :p)
Here’s a picture Austin took at their show tonight as people came down to pray after this song played. It’s amazing how powerful just a picture can be! Brought me to tears!
